Cloud & Microsoft 365

Move off aging servers, clean up a messy Microsoft 365 tenant, or get to the cloud without the horror stories. LRG plans the move to minimize disruption, with security built in from day one, then keeps managing it so you're never left holding a tenant you don't understand.

[ 01 · The pressure ]

The cloud was supposed to make this simpler.

For a lot of businesses, it didn't. Aging on-premise servers you're nervous to touch, one hardware failure away from a bad week. A Microsoft 365 tenant nobody really set up, full of stale accounts, weak security, and permissions no one can explain. A half-finished migration that left files in two places and broke email for a day. The cloud isn't the problem. An unplanned move is, whether that means migrating off legacy servers or standing up Microsoft 365 correctly for a brand-new office as your business grows along the Gulf Coast.

[ 02 · What LRG handles ]

From the first plan to the day-to-day, one accountable owner.

Microsoft 365 migration & setup

01

Email, files, Teams, and SharePoint moved and configured properly, with security settings and licensing right from the start, not left at the defaults.

Azure & hybrid infrastructure

02

Servers and workloads moved to Azure, or run in a hybrid setup where it makes sense, designed for your needs instead of a one-size template.

Tenant cleanup & hardening

03

Stale accounts removed, MFA turned on, permissions tightened, and security baselines applied to a 365 environment that grew without a plan.

Identity & device management

04

Microsoft Entra ID for logins and Intune for the laptops and phones that connect, so the right person on a trusted device reaches only what they should.

Security & compliance embedded

05

Encryption, access controls, and the safeguards your industry requires built into the move from the start, not bolted on after something goes wrong.

Ongoing cloud management

06

Backups for your cloud data, monitoring, license right-sizing, and a real person to call when something's off.

[ 03 · How a cloud move works ]

Four phases, planned so your team keeps working.

STEP 01 · ASSESS

Cloud readiness assessment

We review what you're running today, servers, your 365 tenant, how people work, and deliver a clear findings report and migration plan with the risks called out up front. Free, no obligation.

STEP 02 · PREPARE

Plan & stage

We design the target environment, set up security and identity, and stage everything so the cutover is quick and reversible.

STEP 03 · MIGRATE

Move & verify

We move email, files, and workloads on a schedule built around your business, usually with the heaviest lifting off-hours, and verify everything landed before we call it done.

STEP 04 · ONGOING

Manage & optimize

We keep the environment monitored, backed up, secure, and right-sized, and tune it as your business grows.

[ 04 · Why ours don't become horror stories ]

The plan is the whole job.

Most painful migrations fail in the planning, not the technology. We inventory what you have, find the dependencies that quietly break things, and sequence the cutover around your business hours, so the migration itself becomes the boring part. And security comes along for the ride: it's far cheaper and safer to build it in during the move than to add it after.

01
Security from the start
Encryption, MFA, and conditional access set up as part of the migration, so you land in the cloud already hardened, not exposed.
02
Identity & devices included
Entra ID for who logs in and Intune for what they log in from, so a lost device can be locked or wiped and access always matches the role.
03
One team after the move
The same local team that planned the migration keeps managing it, the cloud becomes part of your managed IT, not a thing you babysit.

Cloud & Microsoft 365 questions, answered.

How long does a Microsoft 365 migration take, and will we lose email or files?+

For most small and mid-size businesses a migration runs from a few days to a few weeks depending on how much data and how many systems are involved, and the goal is zero lost email or files and minimal downtime. We get there by planning thoroughly first: inventorying everything, staging the move, and scheduling the cutover around your business hours so the heaviest work happens off-hours.

Our Microsoft 365 feels like a mess, can you fix it instead of migrating?+

Yes, and it's a common request. Tenants that grew over the years are usually full of stale accounts, weak or default security, and permissions no one can explain. We assess your existing tenant and clean it up, removing dead accounts, turning on multi-factor authentication, tightening permissions, and applying proper security baselines, so you keep your environment but finally have it set up right and managed.

Is Microsoft Copilot worth it for a small business?+

For a lot of small businesses, not an automatic yes, but the decision is arriving whether you've planned for it or not. Starting July 1, 2026, Microsoft folds Copilot into the Microsoft 365 Business Standard and Business Premium plans as a standard feature rather than an optional add-on. Broader market data still shows small-business adoption and clear ROI lagging behind the hype. The real question isn't whether Copilot is capable, it is, it's whether turning it on for your specific tenant is worth it right now, given your data hygiene, permissions, and what your team would actually use it for. That's exactly the kind of call a cloud readiness assessment is built to help you make.

What is GCC High, and do I need it?+

GCC High is Microsoft's government-community cloud tier, built to meet stricter data-handling rules, like ITAR and CMMC's requirements for Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), that ordinary commercial Microsoft 365 doesn't cover. Most commercial businesses don't need it. But defense-supply-chain manufacturers, and maritime or logistics businesses working under defense-adjacent contracts, often do. If CUI or CMMC obligations apply to you, it's worth a direct conversation about whether GCC High is part of the answer.

Should we move to the cloud, or keep our on-premise servers?+

It depends on your workloads, your budget, and how your team actually works, and sometimes the right answer is a hybrid of both. We don't push everything to the cloud on principle; we assess what you're running and recommend what genuinely makes sense to move, keep, or run in a mix. The readiness assessment lays out the trade-offs so it's a clear decision, not a leap of faith.

Is the cloud actually secure for a small business?+

Yes, often more secure than an aging server in a back-office closet, but only when it's set up correctly. The cloud's weak points are almost always configuration: weak passwords, no MFA, over-broad permissions, unmanaged devices. We migrate with security built in, MFA, conditional access, encryption, and least-privilege permissions, so you land in the cloud already hardened, not exposed.

Who does Microsoft 365 migrations near me on the Gulf Coast?+

LRG Technology, headquartered in Spanish Fort, plans and runs Microsoft 365 and Azure migrations for businesses across Mobile, Baldwin County, Pensacola, and the Mississippi Gulf Coast. And unlike a national migration vendor that disappears after cutover, we're the same local team that keeps managing, monitoring, and securing your tenant afterward, one partner, one number, before and after the move.
